Our classic version of the French Pain de Campagne or country loaf.

A naturally leavened sourdough, full of the flavour of slow fermented grain; handmade with locally sourced wheat and rye.

It might have been peasant food once upon a time, but sourdough has gone full circle, because it's considered a little fancy now. A beautiful sourdough with a perfect ear, an open crumb and a complex flavour profile is what foodies look for when they want quality bread. We get it. We're sourdough people, too.

Sourdough stores well and forms the base of many delicious dishes as it stales. We call that 'the 7 days of bread.'

Ingredients: wheat flour, freshly milled stoneground NZ wheat flour, freshly milled stoneground NZ whole wheat flour, rye flour, water, malt flour (wheat), salt, semolina (wheat).
Contains: wheat, gluten, rye.
May contain traces of soy.
